Working gives you an experience of a different kind. Now which can be the case if you are working as an intern, a part-time job worker or a permanent employee. It is this process, one thing which plays a key role is professionalism, work ethics & skill.
Of course your qualification & skills will land you a job but what will keep you in it will be how efficient you are, how well do you mix up & how true you are to your job. You have to do the work you are there for, but you have to maintain a reason for you to stay there. Here is where your inter-personal skills play a key role. The way you interact & the way you put across your point, is very important. You have to be correct first of all & then put it across in a polite way, so that your advice is not ignored & you are valued & considered for what you say.
All different kinds of places shall give you different experiences & different responsibilities. As an intern you shall not have a lot of important work riding over you, but all that you are supposed to do, you should do with perfection & efficiency. You should also go the extra mile & prove that you are worthy. This will increase your chances of a good pre placement offer.
As a part time worker, you need to be efficient & have great inter person skills. Because you shall not always be in the place & with the people you are working for, your communication with your clients must be good & you should maintain a high value for timelines. A work supposed to be done, must be done well.
As a full time worker, one of the main points that you should be taking care of is your loyalties, finish your work on time, work efficiently with your team, respect your seniors & be polite.
It is all about working in a group, how good can you be with others shall define how well people are going to respect you & your opinion. Be on time, meet your deadlines & politeness shall make your way. Also, at times, you should know when to take your ideas back, take it slow & be so correct that people cannot ignore what you say.
